There are regular sailing competitions onSunday afternoons at the club under the guidance of their President Nick Rollings. The crew of sailing vessels all congregate on the verandah and there is always lots of good humour and banter thrown between them.
After briefing of their race course they all head off to prepare vessels and start competitions. Most notable is the introduction of interested new members to the art of sailing that have gone on to purchasing their own vessels for leisure and competitive sailing.
Don’t be fooled by their robust laughter and ribbing whilst sipping on icy cold draught beer on their return, as these sailors are very competitive and will not let any sailing mistakes slip through their fingers.
