The Lodge has since been revamped and is now an on site residence for the club’s manager.  Having an on site manager has been an asset to the club in monitoring movement within the club, sudden heavy rains where boats are in dire need of bailing and owners sometimes able or unable to  be contacted for urgent attention to their vessels or else co-ordination of staff at hand to do sometimes the impossible for the number of boats in an almost sinking situation, emergency help for incoming yachtsmen at odd hours and general twenty four hour back bone for staff and club.
