Club Bans Smoking

It is not altogether bad news on the new “No Smoking” law within the club house.  Unanimously passed by the majority of the 2009 Annual General Committee, smoking is now banned within the club with the exception of the verandah, lawn and Bure.

In hindsight we are complying with the laws of the country where  smoking and non smoking areas are designated.  Most notable, on early entry to the club the bar is a much cleaner site where smokers ashes and used butts are not litered all over the interior of the club which makes for a more pleasant site, less work for the staff which are best used in other areas and the preservation of  literally an historic site built mainly of wood.
